My Mean Face

So the other night Trinity was doing something he should not have been and I lowered my head to show him that I was serious and told him 'Please dont do that". Well he keeps doing it so I give him "the Look", I call it my mean face, and he gives me the same look without smiling. I could not help but laugh so he starts laughing also. Then he thinks it is a game so everytime I try to be serious with him he just gives me "my mean face" and starts laughing! What am I to do? I have a little monster on my hands!

Pumpkin Patch & Moving Cows

Last Saturday Oct 2 we went and picked pumpkins! It was fun! We met our friends Matt & Amanda Kelly and their 2 boys, Koyer and Quentin.Trinity kept running around to all the tiny pumpkins saying "baby." Then when he picked out his pumpkin he picked out a green one! But since sitting in the sun it has turned orange. After the pumpkin picking we went and watched the School of Mines homecoming parade. Trinity and Koyer had fun and got lots of candy!

On Sunday, we helped Dana & Roxonna Thompson move cows 15 miles. Trinity rode with me for a little bit but then his butt sstarted to hurt and we had gotten up really eaarly to be there, so he helped Grandma Kyla take care of his younger cousin Ancher. It was a long ride especially when I hadn't ridden for so long. My legs were a bit sore! I had to walk the last 3 miles to loosen up! Trampus did great though he is a natural. Trinity also rode with him for the last little bit. He had fun yelling at the cows and Trampus showed him the yellow, red and black cows. He had a lot of fun. All together it was a lot of fun and will do it again next year!

Quarantine

Ugh as winter draws near so does all the colds and flu bugs. Monday Tuesday I was hit with some kind of virus that took me out. Then Friday night Trinity started throwing up. Poor kid felt aweful but he was a trooper, even when his mean Momma threated to take him to the doctor if he did not drink his juice! He politly said "ok Mom" and drank a sip! :) I did laundry, cleaned and disinfected all weekend. Saturday I was so exausted that I laid down with Trinity in his bed and fell alseep for about an hour. Trampus was gone hauling cows all weekend so it was just Trin and I. Trampus and Trinity are enjoying the house to themselves today! Trap is sick and Trinity, I thought was still sick this morning so i kept him home, but has more energy than his dad knows what to do with!

I am happy to report that Trinity has gone 10 days yes 10 DAYS of being dry and in big boy underwear!! There has been no accidents except for when he was at daycare. He was at the potty trying to get his pants down and couldn't. Kathy his daycare mom even said it was her fault. She sent him in there thinking he could get his jeans off himself. So I dont count that incedent cause he was really trying!!

Date Night

My wonderful husband wisked me away on a date Friday night. He would not tell me where we were going or what we were doing but the night of he told me to pack an overnight bag. He took me to the Alpine Inn in Hill City where we had their special bacon wrapped filet minon. Then we headed to Deadwood to stay overnight in a suite! The next morning we ate at the Creekside Restaurant. Everything had been so relaxing and just a great getaway for the two of us, but he had one more surprise up his sleeve. We went and took Old Time pictures. It was alot of fun and a great ending to our little time to ourselves!

 

Cupcake Monsters

So last wednesday night I gave Trinity a cupcake with blue frosting. he proceeded to get it all around his mouth.  

So then he wanted to look in the mirror at his blue face. As he is looking in the mirror his very kind mother grabs the cupcake and smushes it on his cheek. Trinity starts laughing and putting frosting all over his face. Then we decided to get daddy! As dad is talking to his boss Trinity sneeks up on him and smushes frosting all over Trampus' face. It was too funny! Both of them jumped in the bathtub and the water turned blue of course.

So I have to share this with all of you cause I am so PROUD! Last night was progress! I was cleaning up a few things before bed time and Trinity was running around in his big boy underwear, with Lightining McQueen on the butt. Well I come out of the bedroom and there he was sitting on the potty all by himself. It made me feel so good!! He acted like "Mom this aint no big thang". I covered him in kisses and hugs and told him how proud I am. Yes I am very proud of my little man if you could not tell!!

Story Book Island

It has been a crazy fast week! This last weekend we took a family day and went to Story Book Island for their Festival to help raise money. We went with our neighbors Nick and Danielle and their 2 boys Carter and Colton. The kids had a blast running through the park and getting chased by pirates! Arg! They jumped in the bouncy castle, rode the dragon train and helped the firefighters spray water! They had a lot of fun and we were all tuckered out so we went home to take a nap!

We have been potty training! In Brookings I had found a Lightning McQueen Potty! Best $25 spent! Trampus thought I was crazy he came home one night and Trinity was watching cartoons in the living room sitting on his potty. I dont care where he goes right now as long as he does not go in his pants, until he gets the concept! 

Tuesday we went to Connor's football game. It was fun to see him play.

This weekend we dont have any big plans. Hopefully a relaxing weekend. We need to get Kota's doghouse prepped for winter and get out all the winter clothes because it is already starting to get chilly. I am kinda a girl when it comes to the cold so not looking forward to winter, Otherwise Sunday we are going to watch Kade play flag football.
